The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management (DIEM) conducts world-class research and education focusing on the creation and transformation of technology-based business. This is examined from three complementary perspectives: strategy and venturing, operations, and people. Combining technological, economic, and organizational knowledge, the department has a long-standing history of highly multidisciplinary research in collaboration with industry and other organizations. This research has an outstanding societal impact. Our internationally acknowledged research and close connections to diverse industries are also the foundations of our highly recognized teaching.
