DIEM Research Seminar Series

The Department hosts an active research seminar series – the DIEM Research Seminar Series - which is held every Friday at 9:15 to 10 in the TUAS building in room 3186 on the 3rd floor, Maarintie 8. The DIEM research seminar series includes two types of seminars, the DIEM Brown Bag Seminar and The DIEM Research Frontiers Seminar. A light breakfast is served.

The weekly presenters, titles for presentations and papers can be found here: https://blogs.aalto.fi/diemseminars/.

DIEM Brown Bag seminar

The DIEM Brown Bag seminar is organized once a week in turns by our three focus areas – Strategy and Venturing, Entrepreneurial Leadership and Operations & Service Management.

The duration of the event is 45 minutes, which includes a presentation by a researcher or a team (about 15 min) plus a discussion of the topic (about 30 min). This seminar offers an opportunity for PhD candidates or post-doctoral researchers to develop their ongoing research. In the seminar, the presenters will receive feedback, guidance, and support for their research projects in a collaborative, open and friendly atmosphere. To book a slot for your own Brown Bag seminar presentation, please contact the coordinators:

DIEM Research Frontiers seminar

The DIEM Research Frontiers seminar is organized by the department. It takes place once a month on Fridays (usually last Friday of the month). In the research frontiers seminar, professors and other senior scholars present their research projects, published research papers or papers that are in the publication process. It may host guest speakers as well. For more information about the DIEM Research Frontiers seminar, please contact Iiris Hörhammeriiris.horhammer [at] aalto [dot] fi (DIEM Academic Coordinator).
