Courses for doctoral students

Doctoral degree in science includes 40 ECTS of theoretical studies.

Department of Industrial Engineering and Management organizes various field-specific courses for its doctoral students. On this page you can see the current course portfolio, which will be annually changed depending on needs of students and possible visiting faculty members.

In addition to the courses organized by the department, theoretical studies may include doctoral and graduate-level courses taken in other Aalto departments or other universities. For example doctoral courses organized in Aalto Business have been popular among DIEM doctoral students and also often organized in a collaborative manner with DIEM and Business School faculty.
