Applying for doctoral studies
The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management admits new doctoral candidates in an application process once a year in every spring. Admission for funded positions in our doctoral program is very competitive. In turn, we believe that the doctoral courses and the supervision that we offer, together with the collegial atmosphere of our doctoral students, post docs, and faculty members will combine to make your stay at the Department rewarding and provide you with an excellent foundation for your future career, be it in business or academia.
The next deadline for full-time department funded or research project specific doctoral student positions as well as part-time doctoral student applications is April 28, 2017. Admission decisions are made in June and the new doctoral students will start their studies in September 2017. An earlier start is also possible. An orientation seminar is organized for all new doctoral candidates to help to a successful start in the program and integration to the academic community.
Doctoral studies at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management are administratively organized with the School of Science Doctoral Programme.
